At Eat Halal ("we," "us," "our," or "Eat Halal"), operated by AVLabs Dijital Hizmetler Anonim Şirketi, we appreciate your use of our mobile application and related services (collectively known as the "Services"). Eat Halal respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This is our privacy policy and we will comply with it, as well as applicable privacy law, when we gather and use information from users of the Services. By using the Services, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
In general, Eat Halal uses the information collected from you to operate our Services and provide you with the best possible experience. Your privacy is important and we are committed to protecting information that identifies you personally, where you have chosen to keep it private ("Personal Information"). We will only share Personal Information in the following circumstances:
Activity and Usage Logs. We automatically store information related to your use of the Services, such as the products you scan or search on the mobile app, your device type, operating system version, language settings, the date and time of your scans, and interaction patterns. We also log the products you scan, search queries you enter, and other actions you perform while using the Services. We use this type of information to administer the Services and provide the highest possible level of service to you. We also use this information in the aggregate to perform statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the Services.
Scan Data. When you use the scanning or search features, we collect photographs of food products you choose to scan for analysis purposes, search queries you enter to look up products, and your scan history including product names, brands, classification results (halal, haram, mashbooh), ingredient analysis, reasoning, and timestamps. This information is stored on our servers and associated with an anonymous identifier to enable features such as scan history.
Subscription Information. If you subscribe to Eat Halal Premium, subscription management is handled entirely by the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status to unlock premium features within the App. Note that we do not rent, share, sell or trade personally identifiable information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Administration. We may use the information described above for routine administrative purposes, such as investigating abuses on the Services, responding to user inquiries, and enforcing and applying our Terms of Use.
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable). We may share aggregated demographic and usage information about users of the Services for analytical purposes. This information does not identify individual users. We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.
Legal Disclaimer. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights (or those of our Services users) and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Services.
Affiliates. Although we currently do not have subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under a common control (collectively, "Affiliates"), we may in the future. We may share some or all of your information with these Affiliates, in which case we will require our Affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. If another company acquires our company or our assets, that company will possess the information collected by it and us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Disclosure to Third Party Service Providers. We may share your information with our third party service providers to provide you with the Services. These third party service providers are required not to use your information other than to provide the services requested by us. You expressly consent to the sharing of your information with our service providers for the sole purpose of providing services to you.
Third-Party Services. The App may use third-party services that collect information. These third-party service providers have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information. Because we cannot control the activities of third parties, we cannot accept responsibility for any use of your information by such third parties, and we cannot guarantee that they will adhere to the same privacy practices as Eat Halal. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service provider.
Service-related Announcements. We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you a push notification.
We will retain your information for as long as necessary to provide you with the Services. When you delete a scan history item within the App, it is removed from your visible history. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
The security of your information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. All data transmission between the App and our servers is encrypted. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is perfectly secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
If we decide to change our privacy practices, we will post those changes to this Privacy Policy and update the "Last Update" date so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently.
